All of the wallpapers on wincustomize are so sweet!
Could anyone give me some tips...
ie. What software to use, some tips for that software...
btw, I am using Illustrator 9 and Photoshop 6.
Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I agree with MontyXP, get tutorials and practice a lot, whenever you feel inspired turn on your PC and make anything, let it flow and at some other time that flow will be useful when you have and abstract idea of what you want to do, and dont feel bad when a tutorial doesnt turn out the way you expect because anyway you learn somthing new each time you do one. try this links: www.absolutecross.com www.photoshopcafe.com and follow the links in the pages you visit to discover some other tutorials

If you have way too much time on your hands........ I would recommend getting acquainted with 3D studio Max (tho highly expensive -yikes-)... Adobe Photoshop 7.0 has some wonderful new things in it like the brushes (which by the way you can much more easily make your own now).. its also applying more vector-based tools within its programming (YAY!).. anyhoo... Illustrator is fun.. altho i don't use it for wallpapers really... maybe if theres a vector image I can't pull off in photoshop (rare)... hmmm Bryce is ok... its way easy to use... almost scary easy... 
..One thin -I- Like to do is import some of my own "drawings" or actual piece I've made in "the real world." via scanner. Thats alot of work to get to look smooth/clean. I dunno you jsut have to play, play, play!!!! It's a passion for me so its honestly all I do with my freetime... tutorials can be guides, some are very very helpful. Well hope that was an earful!

I actually have a friend whose got 3dStudio Max 4..
It's pretttty complicated, but perhaps I can take some good time and play with it...

heya rimshotweb, heres another useful link that i learnt most of my stuff from = www.3dcafe.com
And yes..its mostly just practice, as you can see in peoples self comments about thier own work, they read how many hours they have put into it, you cant just make something impressive within a couple of minutes.
