I emailed the answer to you Frieder, your paint margins on the search image need to all be set to 3 to fix the issue.

Hi,
thx LightStar and DaveBax . you did help me a lot. now i can fix this issue and then experiment a bit to get the right side a bit sharper ( since for the source its svg no problem. ) Didn`t expect the solution that easy. ( Do also linux gtk themes so i don`t know start menu theming at all ). The rest is comparable.
Started to design the start menu first this time and then split it up to part images . have to say that it works better that way.

Edit Explorer Parts Glassy Area/Search Field Background. Note: you can also move the SM search area ans change it's size. Edit Startmenu and taskbar/startmenu/bottom part/extra settings. Scroll down and you will see setting to change for the location and size.
This will change the search field in the startmenu and also on the Explorer window. If you want to change the area around the search area on the explorer window. edit per pixel frames/window glass areas/Top glass area.
NOTE: I use a 50px wide by 24px high image for the search field image. Adjust the paint margins to line it up.
