Let The process begin

Well my Partner and I have taken the plunge and bought a block of land and will be building our dream home. At the moment we are in the planning stage with a reputable builder. For those Aussies it's GJ Gardner Homes. We are auctioning the house in Melbourne in March so the proceeds from that will be more than enough to cover the entire costs for our new abode. So far in 2 open days there have been 68 groups of people gone through the house, 10 of those have requested engineering reports and 3 have consulted builders to visit and give them ideas on renovations or extensions. It's in a great part of Melbourne to. Ascot Vale, 5 minutes from Flemington Racecourse. I have a feeling the bidding is going to get hot on auction day. I will post progress pictures as each major point in the construction process is reached. But hopefully we should be in by Christmas or very early in the New Year. Oh we are building in Bendigo where we currently live so theres no location change ![]()

Paul, you wouldn't need to put any weight on! Perhaps a few less beers.... to be shure to be shure.
Oh, and is white wine fattening?
I was only askin'
Nah, I'm not trying to turn you into a teetotaller or anything, but speaking of extra weight, my doctor has referred me to a physiotherapist to custom design an exercise regime around my disabilities... crook back, bung hips and knees, etc.
Looks like I'll be spending a bit of time in the pool. And my [other] incentive.... lots 'n lot's o' bikini girls.

Couple more pictures. The exposed aggregate concrete of the verandah etc has been sealed showing the true colour.

The sealant really brings out the colour of the stones. Looks killer

Looking spiffy!
Also Jafo how do you park in there at all??
You drive in keeping close to the right - driver's side...stop with the front no plate in contact with the end wall...under the bench top (can't park backwards) ...then you scrunch across to the left side (passenger's) and that door can open enough to squeeze out...assisted by grab handle on left wall. Garage access door is on that side hence the method in the madness.
There's just enough space behind the car to get there to close the roller door from inside.
As long as it works alls well.doesn't "need" to be bigger....
