Note about Windows 10 Preview and Stardock Apps

There's been lots of news recently about the Windows 10 preview and what's ahead for Windows 10 this year. We're looking forward to what's new and are excited about what Windows 10 might bring.
I'm also seeing more posts come up about Stardock apps and Windows 10 that I wanted to address.
- Windows 10 Preview is just that....a preview and not the final product build.
- While many Stardock apps work just fine on the Windows 10 preview, when new Windows 10 builds are updated there's a good chance something might break. That is why apps are not officially supported on Windows 10 right now.
- We are looking at the feedback in regards to Windows 10 and Stardock apps.
As soon as we have updates we'll share them, and I can say we have some cool stuff to look forward to. If you have feedback on Windows 10 and what you might like to see improved, please feel free to comment in this post.

Hmmmmm, IconPackager works fine on Windows 8 and 8.1 for me. I even had it on Windows 10 when I was checking it out and it worked fine.

cool stuff like iconpackager6-10.
I´d like to see that improved to 8/8.1 in the meantime, while im certain it would become a more popular app on windows10 again.
Absolutely! Indeed, an update for Win 8.1 would be fantastic, but a major upgrade for Win 10 is a must.... with the ability for users to nominate and assign icons for desktop shortcuts. If other programs can find the path to other items, be they programs, documents or icons, then IconPackager could be adapted to do so as well. I believe that would increase the popularity of IP because quite a few in the past have agreed with me.

OK, you seem to have a better Windows version than me then, my live-folders keep fu**ing up no matter what I do, said that posted it reported it in the past still no update in sight.
I guess if it would work for everyone without workarounds it would be marked as "compatible" for win8/8.1 but this is not the case, I spotted a number of reports in the forum about this also.
That said it simply cannot work fine or run flawless.

I was pretty disappointed that there was no section for IP in the last GUIC, and since that time nothing to crazy went down in the category.
By judging the situation people always have something to complain about for instance I do it if something is not running very well and if I’d like to see improvements.
If you look at the windows10TP build 9926 and the "Flat" 2D icons we already have a thread up with people complaining.
I know you think those icons are fugly ^^
But I like the reaction put out, because it is good for me also even though I think otherwise and say they look ok or that I do like the design, it is good for me because I see the chance for a IP revival.
