Desktop X Resolution Support

In desktop x I have noticed that there are tick boxes for different resolution support. Does this mean if I tick all the boxes it will support any resolution?

No. It is so that DX knows what resolutions the theme looks good on so it can warn someone if they try and load it at a different resolution. To support any resolution takes a bit of tweaking but for a lot of themes it's possible to make them multi-res compatible.
