Love the cursors, particularly the Gear one. It appears that it`s not compatible with Windows 8.1, is that correct?

From the product page linked to:  although he forgot the spacebar trick.

        System Requirements:

  • Windows 7 / Vista / XP 32
  • CursorFX is not compatible with Windows 8

I believe it only has/had some issues with the Metro start screen. Otherwise, it will work fine.

I just purchased Stardock $5.00 and when i click to apply a cursor it asks me for Stardock acct email-serial number-create stardock acct-locate serial number. I`ve no idea what they are and the serial number thing doesn`t work. Any ideas to uncomplicate this?

When you purchased it, you had to create an Stardock account, email and password. That is called your Stardock account.  The serial number will be in the email you received after purchasing CursorFX from Stardock store.  Go to your Stardock account from the email and sign in, download install be happy.

PS:  Please uninstall the trial, and restart the computer before installing the full  program from Stardock Account, The trial is not activatable.

cheers

I use Cursor FX Plus on Windows 8.1 with no problems, even on the metro screen.

Actually, the ONLY problem I have with CursorFX is that when using on a touchscreen PC, once I touch the screen, the cursor reverts to the default OS cursor. I have to press CTRL/Shift/C twice to get it back, only to lose it again next time I touch the screen.

As long as I use a mouse, no problems at all.

Yes, i only use a mouse and i`ve managed to get my favorite cursor theme "gear" through Cursor FX. There`s difference of opinion as to whether it`s compatible with Windows 8 but mine worked ok. http://s10.postimg.org/gh2xuuixh/Capture.jpg

Well, a screenshot of the cursor ON the metro screen would have been a tad more descriptive, but I gotcha.
