Saturday, December 28, 2002 by gfunk | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

is there a way to put a link to the start menu in object dock? i like the little program, but i have to leave the stupid taskbar on to get to the start menu...or do a key combo.

On the Stardock newsgroups this has been discussed and there are a few different ways of doing it. One preson has written a custom prog that you can download and launch, another has posted a snippet of vbs code that works really well. Good luck.

I just hit the Windows key on the keyboard, bottom left between Ctrl & Alt. Start Menu pops right up!

ahhhh, why not just create a link to it in the Startup folder in the Programs menu?

I'd create one on the desktop, highlight it, right click, cut, star, programs, startup and paste.

Then when windows starts, it loads with the settings you quit it with when shutting down.

Or you could create a mackro....

luck...

If you have DesktopX You could create a start button and even add a system tray.

Two Cents.
