Windows blinds can slow down the operating system :(

Wednesday, December 18, 2002 by solutiondesign | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Windows blinds can slow down the operating system, but the program it slows down the most is desktop X, it takes ages to open the properties, don’t know why because it is not even skinned. Hope these problems are sorted in future versions.

I have never noticed a slowdown when running windowblinds and I run a 433mhz processor and have used WB on Win98 and now with the same processor on XP.

Me tinks it might be time for someone to do some maintenance on their PC

"i am running an updated windows xp, from ME this could be the problem"

You just answered yourself.

Installing Windows ME was one of the worst things I've done to my computer (besides that time I accidently formatted it using disk clean-up, but hey, I was 11 years old, and I didn't know what I was doing ). I'm glad that I borrowed the WinME disk off a friend, because it definately was NOT worth the $200 that MS were asking for.
