Improving the site

Earlier there was an argument about whether or not to do away with the top downloads and top authors sections.
A new idea I didn't see mentioned, simply move top authors/downloads beneath the New Additions and Updated sections.
That way they're still there for the people who use them, but the new works receive a more prominant placement.

What difference does that make. There all on the same page. I see no reason to change it.

it only matters as to whether or not you have to scroll every time in order to see what you really wanted to see first off, i guess. i'm sure everybody has an opinion on what they want to see first.

BKB, It's not like you are walking down the street to see everything. One little press of a finger and you are there. How much work is that or how much time did it take? Maybe I'am getting old and have more time to spend, but if it ain't broke, don't mess with it. Must be getting old, am running out of patience.

Did I miss something? All I saw was some funning. I don't think no one was really serious about people changing nicks. Heck, I changed mine. Sure your not a little touchy, Delicious?

Reading from the top there is a comment/question and then instead of an answer a comment on a name change.
This exact thing happened to me in another thread and in that thread I understood what was meant.
Perhaps this time it was not the same.

Jam, as was pointed out to me a few minutes ago, I guess it's the way you say it. So I guess you have to elaborate some what so you are not taken the wrong way. As I'am an easy going gut, I guess it's hard to see when you only see the words.

You know, some people are reallllly lazy. Then other will just say to themsevles, "who cares what is down there. I know what I am doing."
The top of the page is "prime realistate" (spell?) and I have to admit, I sometimes wonder why the daily shot doesn't come up or why the layout has so much text info when a link would do just fine.
I don't think I would change the positions though... hmmmmm... when I first came to the site I was a little confused, but after a while I see the method to the madness. I think the site is really designed for us hard core visitors. Others would find the mirrow site of wincust better for browseing.
I guess that is the real reason why there are 2 sites. One for skinners/message board/major downloaders/commenters and the mirror site is for the "just give me the goods" people.
