Nope... NT, ME, 98, 2000, XP Home, XP Pro and last but not least even though it's not supported 95. I think that the only version that you don't have a chance of getting Windowblinds to run on is 3.11

I'm currently trying to run WB on a Win98 machine. While it does run, it reeks havoc and crashes and locks up my machine at least once a day. The only reason I'm still messing around with it is because I have P4 with 512Mb memory running XP Pro on order. I'm damn glad I haven't purchased it yet or I'd be asking for a refund.
NextStart runs well under 98. Sysmetrix, Object Bar, Desktop X, and Hoverdesk all run like crap and crash under Win 98.

i had the same experiences with ObjectBar and DesktopX when i was on Windows98. no need to vomit though, the meaning of a trial version is to try out if it works for you. with all the different software and hardware around for pcs it´s rather unlikely that a program works flawlessly on all possible cofiguration.

Windowblinds ran great when I was using 98.
I always thought WindowsXP was made for Windowblinds.
I still can't figure if the bg of this page is green or black
Is there a place I can test the color setting I have. I tried using the photoshop thing but my eyes went crosseyed looking at the squares.

I have run Windowblinds on Win 98 running inside a Virtual Machine in Windows XP running Windowblinds....both 'resource-hungry' skins of my own....but it worked just fine...and that's far more of a 'resource drain' than 98 running as its own OS...

Jafo, while I appreciate what you say, I didn't say WB was a "resource drain". I said it doesn't run well and crashes at least once a day (8 hrs). What the reason is, I'm not sure.
I'm running WB (unregistered) on Win98 with 64Mb, ample hard disk space. Maybe it's my hardware, maybe the OS, maybe it's WindowBlinds. I'd like to purchase it for my new computer but the "trial version" sure hasn't sold me with its instability.

64 megs of ram! Just my guess, thats one problem. How much do you have loaded on start up? After you start up and load windowblinds, how much free ram do you have left, before you open any other program?

Actually, I see 2 problems, too little ram, on an OS that doesn't manage ram very well.
WindowBlinds really can't be blamed for crashing an OS that routinely crashes all by it's self.

That's why I haven't given up. My new PC should be here in a week--- 2.4Ghz, 512Mb, and a 128Mb Nvidia card running XP Pro.
I hope (and expect) to have much better results. I really like the whole Stardock package and will be more than happy to become a customer if the software is reliable.

I am running DesktopX, WindowBlinds, Sysmetrix, WindowFX and Objectdock all the time on a similar configuration. No problems at all.

And you can have it running quite perfectly on a mere shadow of that system...eg P111/500 like mine...

I should clarify something. When I signed up to become a "citizen" of this website, there were some problems activating my account so I signed up again and my user name was already in the system and I had to use a new user name. Hence, dbackfan and YMark are the same person (me). I had dbackfan logged in at home and YMark logged in at work.
