Explorer.exe

I'm getting multiple instances of explorer.exe which is shooting up my CPU to 50-75%. Does anybody know what is causing this? Thanks.

Deregister 8.20. Uninstall it. Reboot. Install 8.10.

Not true. They do not go away. How does this get fixed?
The problem went away for me when I used msconfig to remove the DeskScapes service from the list of services run at boot time. It still starts the dream at automatically when Windows loads but no more explorer processes chewing up 100% of cpu.

No, it hasn't been fixed.
Deregister 8.20. Uninstall it. Reboot. Install 8.10. You should have it if you install things with ObjectDesktop Manager. It auto archives for you.
I keep older copies of everything SD. Anyone who has been a Stardock/Wincustomize customer for any length of time should know to do that.

I get this problem only with Windows 7. When I used the latest version of Deskscapes (8.21.0) with Windows 8.1 , there was no multiple instances of explorer.exe ... Stardock should fix this bug asap
btw , will anybody suggest me a way to get Deskscapes 8.10
I bought Object Desktop Infinite last month and don't have the old versions .. ![]()

koushikdragoon - The latest build, 8.21, is supposed to fix the multiple explorer.exe issue. But on your Win 7 box you say it's still doing it? I've created a ticket for you, you should receive an email shortly.

If you're not seeing that, then you have the issue. I have the issue if I run Deskscapes 8.20. I have to use Deskscapes 8.10.
