DESKTOP X works on 98Lord Vimal with its OWN alphablending...
how about imparting this in OBJECTDOCK?

joetheblow, according to Stardock, ObjectDock does NOT work on anything but "XP and possibly Windows 2000".

It won't. 98/ ME don't have the right bits in them to do it. DesktopX gets around it by using it's own custom alpha blending but still can only do that on the desktop layer. You can't make an alphablended object float above a windows or always on top unless you are using 2K or XP. I would suspect that objectdock would crash.

hmmmmm....
I was to scared to try it.
I thought it would crash my whole system and I most certainly need it at this point and time. I am sure I will be using it as a test box in the future once I get new computers.
I was really temped though...

It simply has an error in the dll it tries to use for that bit. Then closes itself. No big exciting crash.

It's a matter of using the native alpha blending capability of the OS, which 98 / ME don't have.
