I use PSP7 at this point but it is limited and I would like to try something new. I was pleased to see the post about Bryce thinking that comments would be made on everyone's favorite. It is hard for me to post because I am a face to face person " don't even like the phone much". I can't understand being picked on by someone I have never even seen.

While you seem to be somewhat decent with Bryce most Bryce work is at the level of fingerpainting, but with primitives. (ok, so a little jelously about my not having that program just leaked through )

I will say that I have recently purchased Photoshop 7 and Deep Paint, so now I just have to learn how to use them...

I love my PSP7. 
I recently downloaded the Bryce5 trail version, haven't installed it yet.
After trying a couple of other 3D proggies, I am quite confident, that I won't be able to do squat with it.

Paintshop Pro 7 is my choice. I have Photoshop 6 but you have to go through so many steps to get a desired look. As for Bryce I have 4 & 5 you have objects to start with not like the other graphic programs where you start with a blank canvas.

Hey Jam I bought PSP 7 about a year and a half ago for $99 now it's about $50 bucks.

PSP6...though I found an old Bryce2 lying around that I just might install and see how primitive I can make my primitives...

There were two copies of Bryce 2 put out, the first one was defective and you had to call them to send you the one that wasn't...

Don't really have a favorite image editor. It's just a software.
I use mainly Photoshop. Not because I think it's better that anything else but just because I'm used to it. I've heard great things of The Gimp though. If I had time at some point, I'd like to give it a shot.
Some of the best artworks I've seen were done with a combination of tools, not just one. I've seen very neat things with the Bryce/Poser/Photoshop combo. Nice landscape background done in Bryce, some creatures and animals done in Poser and some nice tweaking in Photoshop.
