Backup & restore OD

Saturday, November 23, 2002 by Robert Drumheller | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I need to reformat my hard drive & do a clean install. I'm seeking advise on backing up and restoring OD. I have used the backup feature in the Component Manager, but does this also backup Component Manager itself? If no, how do I do that? Any advise on this or other issues I may encounter in this process would be greatly appreciated.

I think you will need to save a download of Component Manager and re-install it after you have installed your operating system. Serial Number will need to be re-input. If you have OD, I wonder why you are still a citizen?

You can be a citizen with OD, just a level 3 citizen.

OK, thanks.... I feel like a big dummy, but what besides a "citizen" should I be? Anyone care to 'splain me the whole title thing?

BTW - love OD - love the site, and much appreciate the availability of all the great artwork here.

Oh, sorry. I was thinking there was a change in status from Citizen if you purchased the products. But, you are right (as usual), WOM.
It's the User Level that changes.

Robert, if you click on the "About" on the left of the screen under Options, it explains the Titles. I couldn't find the part about the user levels, but it's probably here somewhere.
