Desktop Weather Check

Tuesday, November 12, 2002 by Vaughn Joslyn | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Spent lots of time making this little current conditions weather check application (international capability). Could never find anything I liked that wasn't loaded with nags, so I did my own.

Take a look:

Locate an airport near you and use it's identifier or search the net for station identifiers.

Example: http://aawu.arh.noaa.gov/stnids.html

That didn't work.
Go to this site, and at the bottom select Netherland: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/tg/siteloc.shtml

Very nice coming from an Air Force weatherman. no popups or advertisements. Where does the program get it's information from? National Weather Service, NOAA, the observation network?

Sadly, your program doesn;t use WMO Index Number's only station names... but good work anyway!
