Rip report - WB skins for sale at Dezi Skins
Monday, November 11, 2002 by retiredmaster | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
A WindowBlinds-a-like app with skin packs for sale with many ripped skins at the related 'Dezi Skins' website:
SkinEngine - http://www.ksdev.com/skinengine/screen.html
Dezi Skins - http://www.deziru.com/skins/
Did anyone give their permission for these?

I think that was it...chuck it back into a translator and you'll get a giggle....

Still, that said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was ripped from WB.
And some of the prices are ridiculous (spelling jafo?). $41 (American $, I'm guessing) for 19 skins that look like sh*t and could easily be replicated via WB for free.

Sadly, I'm not sure if what they are doing is illegal in Russia, or what you could do about it if it was. They have very different standards on copyright and reverse engineering, if I am not mistaken.

By the way, am I deja vu-ing here or has this cropped up before?

I didn't mean that.
My internet has been playing up lately for some reason.
I think it's something about my ISP's proxy server, since changing servers seemes to fix it for a while, then it goes back to how it was in the first place.

That's what I meant too.
I realise that I didn't pick the best example, but what I meant was that you can do something in one country that might be illegal in another, but since your country has no laws against it, nobody can do anything about it.
Look past the shooting thing, that was just an example.

Baker...any help would be a help [funny, that]...

Ryan...didn't I tell you my translation was fragged?....'hovercraft', see?...

You made your point...more than once...so I'll clean up the mess for you...

Actually do me a favour and change the shooting example to something better that you can think of.

I/we limit our involvement with the thread management to making sure true mayhem does not break out via pron, abuse, serialz requests, etc...and I like to tidy up the 'Stutter Rappers', such as yourself, but unfotunately 'normal' content remains exposed to public ridicule, for better or worse...

I had a go at contacting them but I fear they are hiding behind a degree of language barrier, real or imaginary....
What is really needed is a genuine Russian speaker, and not a 'translating site', as I managed something like "Your spaceship is full of jellied eels", or similar...
My communication even made no sense to me, let alone the Ruskies...
