Smileys in Skin Comments

Friday, November 8, 2002 by Tarkus | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Why are smileys stripped out of skin comments? I'm not asking that the special smiley graphics be used, but it would be nice if at least my text smiley would stay there. Sometimes your comments can be taken the wrong way without expressing emotion.

It worked in my last submission Tarkus.........don't think it ever has before. Maybe you have to included the space before and after, like the icon triggers do.

I just left a comment with colon-right parenthesis at the end (a simple smiley face). I placed a space on either side. As soon as I hit Refresh, it was gone. Why?

I notice that if you do a backwards smiley face, ala (: , it doesn't get stripped. But then people will think I'm lefthanded and thus, weird.
