Removing shortcut arrow overlays

The easiest is using TweakUI from Microsoft it is free but is a power user program. Here is the link http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp or cust and Paste in www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp give it a shot but remember to read the directions first

Personally, I use On Display from Microangelo...
You get what you pay for, and I don't mind paying for quality software.
