No minimize, maximize and close buttons
Friday, January 3, 2014 by kwart1001 | Discussion: WindowBlinds
Hi, I'm new here and a happy new year to you all. Good information here and really nice stuff.
I'm using windowsblind, but only the Default Theme is working. Trying all other themes and with all programs/windows explorer, the minimize, maximize and close buttons aren't visible. Only when I hoover with my mouse there and just click, I see them very briefly and the command is executed.
I already tried a lot from the information I got here and on the Stardock forum (reinstalling WB, reapplying the themes, restarting etc), but I'm stuck.
I have an Object Desktop subscription with all the programms installed from the suite and so far those do run fine so far. Running W8.1 x64.

Thanks LightStar, I tried to do what you suggested with no luck. Btw I use WB8 so I don't see the option apply only to Aero frames.
I did run both CCleaner and Wise Reg Cleaner.
I also had it already reported to stardock and had a chat on irc. Stardock i s looking into it.

Update:
Stardock support send me a special bat file to uninstall wb8, after a restart and a new install of wb8 everythings works now.
Lightstar your skin is awesome and many thanks for your help!

Might want to email [email protected] on this one kwart1001. First check all your settings in WB though, looks to me like you have it set to apply only Aero frames (Settings, Advanced Settings (UIS2/1 only, last item at bottom of page). If it is checked then uncheck it and apply the skin again.
Second thought also: I think you may have a corrupt Windowblinds install. Try backing up all your skins, uninstall Windowblinds, run a good registry cleaner like CCleaner or Wise Registry Cleaner (or both). Reboot and reinstall Windowblinds again and see what happens.
