about the t-shirts around here on this site
Saturday, October 19, 2002 by joetheblow | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
But I have seen some of the stuff they have in the store and I only liked one shirt. (There is no way I am going to walk around the streets of NYC with the word "Skinners" on it, so count those shirts out).
I was going to submit some t-shirt designs and hope that they are good enough to use. I like what I have been workin with so far. Anyway, hope by next year there could be something in the store other than computer programs to buy and wear.
If anyone has some tishirt idea or bag idea then speak up by adding some stuffs to the graphic library under shirt ideas.
Imagine.... a universal medal t-shirt... or a Men in Grey II.... Maybe even a Nuetral bag with sox..

Of the stuff on there the only item I would even consider purchasing would be the cap. Even then, WinCustomize University??? Get real.
Get rid of that ridiculous "University" bit and I just might buy it.
As for the rest, why not have a contest on WinCustomize for designing the best shirt, etc. Have the top 3 designs made into shirts (of all the types they offer). To induce extra competition, give out prizes for the top 3 designs. The prizes could be a free 2yr subscription, a full copy of object desktop, and 1 item of every product they put your design on. Or something along that vein.

Personally, I think the GUI olympics were (and are) a good idea, though I hope the next olympics will get better entries.

My main objection to the logo is the "University" bit. Otherwise, the logo is good.

My main thing is not a contest or anything lke that, just put an idea for a shirt in the graphics section if you want to. I am doing it mainly because I don't like most of the graphic designs on the shirts now (except for one and that is the LightWeight Ninja T-Shirts, I love that!!!). Actually allot of the stuff looks like things an employee would by
!!!I already said I aint buying the "skinners" shirt
, so I figured I should put my designs where my mouth is and make some designs for the t-shirt section of the graphics area on this site.Hey, has anybody thought of letting those who are subscribers to the site to be able to sell t-shirts, tote bags, pens, notebooks and other Staples type stuff with designs that match the skin?
hmmmmmm, sounds like a way the site could make money and the person who is a subscriber too. If your a starving artist you would be surprised how much 20 or 30 dollars a month can help.

I'm holding firm on the "university" part of the cap logo though. As much as I love this place, it's just a nice site with a good community.
I've tried designing logos myself and unfortunately, they just don't work out. *shrug* So while I can yell from the sidelines, I can't contribute actual art in this respect.
