Scott Carpenter, Mercury astronaut, pioneer and hero of my youth (I was fortunate to have many...John Glenn, Neil Armstrong...the greats), has gone to his reward.
God speed, Scott Carpenter!

RIP Scott. The Mercury crews were among the bravest of the brave, so many unknowns and ways for things to go wrong. They were true trailblazers.
