Texas, Louisiana and Lili

Wednesday, October 2, 2002 by slinky1947 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hurricane a comin And a whopper it will be. Am in a sub of New Orleans, in Jefferson Parish, real close to that Muddy Mississippi River. Last week was a dress rehearsal for this one. And what's up with Kyle, sat out there for 3 weeks and now what's to come alive.

Just give us a thought, maybe a little prayer and all will be fine. Honker down my Texas neighbors!

I lived in LA (Baton Rouge/Lake Charles) for 10 years and there is a lot that I miss about it. What don't I miss??? That would be the weather.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Picked me up, feeling kinda blah. By myself and not sure what to do with myself. Guess I'd better shut it down for now. Will miss the site, but only for a little while.

Best of luck slinky... and everyone else in the path. I've been watching Lili on the Weather Channel's website. It doesn't look good for Louisianna - especially just west of New Orleans. They're warning of a huge storm surge, up to 16 feet. that's one hell of a lot of water...

Hope to hear from you after it goes by. Let us all know how it's going all around the area there.

Glad that it missed me, but feeling guilty at the same time because I know someone else wasn't so lucky. Praying for slinky and everyone in Louisiana.
