Rejected Theme, no Details

What's the deal?

Monday, July 22, 2013 by RealityRipple | Discussion: Skinning

Dear RealityRipple,

Thank you for your recent upload of your In The Dark for FireFox
Unfortunately your upload has not met our guidelines and has been rejected.
However we do look forward to your future submissions.

Sincerely,

Items rejected are called exiled.  Exiling means the item is being removed from the site for infractions of the sites guidelines

If an item is rejected please refrain from posting questions about as to why in the forums, as generally these types of posts and answers can be embarrassing for all involved. You may PM a Mod and request a reason or help if you did not already receive an email detailing the cause of the rejection.

Tips on uploading can be found here.

It'd be nice if there was a list of Mods somewhere. Or if PMs didn't go unheeded.... Or for that matter, if the rejection reason would be mentioned in the E-Mail.

Well I mean your old Firefox theme page cannot be accessed anymore

and I was able to provide the link to the Firefox Gallery only because I'm firefoxmaniac (the link was in my Firefox 2 legacy portable)

We are a good bunch most of the time,we just were trying to head off a nasty end is all. Stick around , be patient, this is a good place to share and also get stuff.

As Frankell commented, the emails are generated responses. Could just be some simple reason for rejection, or, as stated, embarrassing to post publicly, maybe not to you, but not hurting someones feeling in public is consideration, not lack of attention. Send the pm, fix the issues, resubmitt, let us see your work man.

Stardock has their own guidlines, every site does. Cheers DT1.

but I cannot see anymore the Firefox Gallery in the Explore All Galleries page

RealityRipple
Sure seems like it can still be accessed...

It can, you go to the Home page, hover over explore, scroll down to the bottom of the list, hit customize, check FF, now you see it on mouseover of Explore.

The list you see is customizable, you choose what you see.

I don't have time to deal with a second set of reviewers who think they know better about Mozilla than Mozilla.

Stardock has their own guidlines, every site does.

RealityRipple, you'll have to either meet the WinCustomize guidelines while you are here, or move on. Your choice.

We'd love to have you here, and I can assure you that the mods have reasons for their decision, only they can tell you specifically what that is.

As was said to you by a mod, via email, I presume from your quote in the original post, this (forums) is NOT the place to have this conversation.

many thanks RD !

any way I really cannot see the old "In The Dark" theme in the Firefox Gallery and all the Gallery it's only a single 1 page !

well my opinion is that the issue is not the theme but the Gallery I would say a dead gallery

Used to be only if you were a subscriber, not sure now though.

I would think that the Firefox category here on WC would have been removed by now considering none of the skins in it will work on current versions of Firefox.

Man, its from Jan. 2009.  Wonder why he picked on me!  I don't mod that section.  I don't even use firefox.

A list is in the about section.

Oh my, I doubt if the forums or gallery for that matter will ever be visited by the OP again.

But he posted in Skinning, bottom of that page, I guess were the Skinning Forums mods? I didn't thunk of that!

RealityRipple..

The most recent submission to the 'Firefox' gallery is 2010.  There IS nothing in the Gallery by you....unless you lodged under a different Nick.

If you have ANY queries regarding a submission please PM myself or Island Dog, both of whom are site Administrators who can clarify such issues for you....

Correction.  'In the Dark' shows as 'deleted by user'.  Last updated June 2009.

That there is no amended date [current] indicates a probable failed upload.

Quoting doortech1,
reply 6

If you send a pm, someone will respond. I have sent pm's several times to mods and got responses. They are around, very busy, but around.

How did you determine they have been gone for weeks by the way?By the profile "Last Activity" field, of course. That's what that field is supposed to be for...

'Last activity' for me is April 2013.  Yes, those dates aren't quite 'accurate'.  I am here 24/7/365 [almost].

Last indication from WOM being online here is about 4 hours ago....

Very strange, because when I visit the page I can download the latest release (from last week) just fine. I think there's a deeper issue... What do you recommend I do?

IMHO only you (the author) can access that page but for everyone else that is a ghost page

try to logout and see what happen when you click again: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/firefox/44/

you will be redirected to the Firefox main gallery https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/firefox
