I am probably going to regret this but:
Blog is the truncated version of Weblog.

I found this link by going to Google and typing "Blog and defintion."
If you learn to use search engines, you will be able to amaze your friends with your wealth of knowledge.
Also remember that every know-it-all was born helpless and ignorant... but was determined NOT to stay that way!
