I am looking for a Tablet.

I am looking to get a tablet that will works as a e-reader also.
Most of my friends have to Nook HD but, with all the talk of the demise of the BN Nook division at the end of 2014 would it really make sense to buy one now?
Any one have any suggestions?

I have a Toshiba Excite 10". I like it.
You can get Kindle for android and use any android as a reader.

For 200$ or less you buy a Motorola Xoom. Lot's of bang for your buck and extremely high quality parts.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions I will check these options.
@Kona From what I have read they are only stopping the hardware end of the Nook Media and they are going to focus on digital content aspect only.

I have a ASUS TF it's fast makes a good Ereader. As a matter of fact I use the kindle reader on it to read at bedtime every night. I got board with it after newness wore off so it sits on the bed stand. And I use my laptop for on the go computing. I can get a lot more done with my laptop than I ever did with my tablet. But that's just me.

You can have mine! (Surface RT).
I got my wife a Kindle Fire - only $300 (why buy wifi when you can tether it to your phone?). HD and a reader. And runs enough remote access programs (based upon android) so that it really is a good tablet.

I can recommend the iPad.... I have the latest one with the retina display, and couldn't be happier! I have the kindle app on it and read with it all the time.
I know there are a few Apple haters on here, but if you are objective, you should take look at it. ![]()
I hope you find something you are happy with.........

If it's anything like the iPhone, I'd love to have one.
My android is ok, but an iPad would rock!

I have the Google Nexus 7, Which makes a fantastic E-Reader. Plus being a quad core processor lets you have some fun as well.
