Has anyone seen this? adni18 ripped again or deja vu?

Looks totally like adni18's work. Is this Arcila? Someone should check into this. Even if this is a new guy he should put some mention in his comments to adni18.

He might just be using the I don't speak English routine. I'm a Mexican\American and I've run across alot of people like that in my life. I'm not racist, and I hope I'm not coming off that way, it's just some people can be selfish. And I know some people say that some can be negative on these boards and that is not my intention. I just call em like I see em. Dang I could be wrong, but it sure doesn't seem that way. Oh and unfortunately my Spanish is very limited to be a translator. D'OH

Keep The Peace Man.

Yeah, but they're not all the same shape as, and use the same gradient as, adnis...
There's a big difference between a style being similar and being identical.
As I said before, even if it isn't a rip issue, there's certainly a moral issue here.

If it were shown that a 'similar' skin pre-dated one of Adni's, where would we be then?
The only proper solution is to investigate closely each case as it arises and try to determine whether it really IS a rip or just an unfortunate similarity.
This is strictly 'general' comments, not referring to any specific case/situation.
It's not a problem of 'morality' as you put it, unless there really IS intent to deceive, whatever....

It still is difficult terrain. I understand that if you just rename bitmaps it's a rip. Now if you recolour, say, a gradient coloured bitmap into a solid colour, I am not sure anymore. If it is still a rip then you can't use the size of the bitmap for that particular attribute anymore. Now, if a new idea is in a WB, say, for instance the right top buttons in a new fashion and people like the idea, they surely are going to experiment with it. You will see these buttons appear in other WB as well. They change the colours of the buttons and a little bit of variation, is it still a rip then, or is it a rip of an idea? Or is it "new"? Hard to tell, and even someone may have the same idea at the same time. I am just writing out loud...I have this image of buttons that appear in old warshipstyle, you know with the guns behind a shutter, mouse over, bang a canon appears, red button
sound included
But is it "new"?Thinking all this into extremes you may end up with a shift from BeOs to WB standard, in other words the WB program is a kind of open source for developers to end up with the ultimate skin. Hmmmmmmmmm

For example, When Treetog started skinning, I suspect he was greatly influenced by Dangeruss. At some point about 2 years ago, you could have interchanged their names on their skins and most people wouldn't have noticed a difference. Should we have exiled Treetog for that? Of course not!!!! He was inspired by his idol and eventually went on and developped his own style.

Fuzzy Logic also has a point, from the moral point of view. Thank you Fuzzy Logic

To make the long story short, all the opinions in this thread have a strong point.
That is why I never complain about this case, (I didn't open this thread), it just bothers me little bit, I never saw it as a compliment, I guess, I must try to see it this way

They need not necessarily be 'rips' however...eg, BeOS skins all look like BeOS...it's then a matter of everyone arriving at the same 'port'...[hehe a 'pun'].
This becomes a 'problem' when skinner no.2 actually uses graphics from skinner no.1....THEN it's a 'rip' and will be removed.
Similarities of 'style' can occur purely through the limitations of the skin's format or application.
After all, all those WB skins with the buttons on the top-right are 'similar' because they all have their buttons on the top-right....see what I mean?...
