WB8 questions

well first, congratulations for rolling your new WB beta.
I'm pretty happy with my current OS (win7), WB (7.4) and SS (7.3) versions. Not looking to ever upgrade to win8 I'm wondering of what specific advantages would upgrading fromWB7 to WB8 provide for skinstudio creations.
Are you all planning to upgrade skinstudio and phase out WB7.* as has been done in the past with other versions.
is it possible to provide better graphic previews of win8 elements, in skinstudio, for those of us that just use win7.

guess I should have mentioned that I don't use photoshop.
the question is mainly the interaction between WB and SS and where the skin coders are taking these products.
Also wondering if upgrading to WB8 has any benefits over WB7 that impact win7 skins.
put another way; If I don't have win8 is there any reason that I need/want to upgrade to WB8?

Quoting gmc2, reply 2Also wondering if upgrading to WB8 has any benefits over WB7 that impact win7 skins.
The biggest advantage is that WB8 will be getting updates and bug fixes, WB7 will not.
That is a really good reason!

I understand what is being said about the updates and makes a lot of sense if you are using win8.
As far as using WB7 on win7 I have never had a problem and the main question still remains. A list isn't required but are all the updates pertaining to win8 or were there actually changes made to improve it's use on win7?

Dave, it makes a lot of sense if you're using Windows 7, also.
For example, the UI has changed. It has better search functionality. You can search a skin and the results gives you the default skin, the one you searched, and the one you're currently running, in case you change your mind, you don't need to go back and search for the one you had. Great function, IMO.
It has a better preview system, with two views. I'm sure I'll find other improvements.

I would, however, ask for an added function. I'd like to see the name of the skins in the previews without having to mouse over the preview. That's just me.
Being able to store the WB skins in a different location would be awesome as well.

So, the unofficial answer to the question would be no. There would be no additional benefits upgrading to WB8 unless one is using Win8, seems to be correct?
I'm primarily asking because I'd have tp purchase the upgrade.

Greg you may have missed this from danilloOc in a thread that he said.
"Some new skins featuring new WB8 features will come put very soon, one of them is intended to be used as a base-template skin and will have some basic visuals and source files will be released too (.psd)."
I don't have win8 either so am looking forward to this WB used for a templete so I can see what is needed to add. If you find this WB and I happen to miss it please PM me so I can get it. I haven't updated windowblinds beta version and am hoping the final version will have the templete skin in it.
