Calling WB Skinners A new kind of WB Request

Request For a WB

Friday, May 17, 2013 by Stackoverflow13 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

To all the great artists here at wincustomize

This is a request for a windowblind which I think is a bit different.

I was wondering if someone could do a windowblind where the taskbar is in 3d along the z-axis alot like objectdock is.

A bit like frankells screenshot here https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/objectdock_backgrounds/452/ although he advises me this is not a WB.

Any takers?  I appreciate this is time consuming & you are all v busy with real life, but I thought it was worth asking.

so basically you just want a trapezoid instead of a rectangle as taskbar background?

yep that's it, but with the start button & systray icons vertical also in blue in the style of my favourite skin Acrylic 7 by danillioOc

If at all possible. I haven't seen any skins like that

Thumbs up for the most nicely worded request I ever read. I would , but you would loose everything when switching to a vertical taskbar , or at the least the illusion you are going for. everything would be hanging off the side rather than sitting on top like a shelf. Or i miss your intent? If so, elaborate on concept.

To be honest I wasn't sure how to word it, just trying to be civil as in RL whenever asking for something from someone.

No doortech1, you are quite correct. However I'm not bothered about loosing on the vertical as I never move the taskbar that way. Or do you mean that you would loose it permanently?

you're the WindowBlinds skinner, but do vertical taskbars not get skinned separately in WindowBlinds anyways?

hello Maverick I can provide the .msstyle file I modded and used in my screenshot preview

maybe there is the way to convert it to a .wba file (alwyas and only for personal use)

any way the Navy original VisualStyle by teschio is for XP

btw which OS are you using ?

Hi Frankell, nice of you to help me again (took your suggestion & reached out) . The ms style would be great for now. I use win7 x64.

Ultimately though a WB would be ideal as I said in post 2 I tend to use blue WB's currently using the excellent southern lights wallpaper with acrylic 7. But a big thankyou anyway, I look forward to trying it out.

Yes, the vert is separate,no, you would not loose everything.I have an idea for the vert anyhow, thinking clipped on look, or hanging somehow for the vertical buttons.I have a great blind{my opinion} in the works, and did a mock up taskbar and buttons, but do not do the photobucket thing and am unsure of how to display to you all to opine on.Could email someone the blind if they wanted to post it. Pm me any interested.
