Desktopx not fully loading

Sunday, September 8, 2002 by brazil | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I recently have been having trouble when I try to get DesktopX to load on any theme. The icons on the desktop that normally disappear during loadup only kink of go away. Some are still there and some are partially gone. But the end result is a partially loaded theme that is not so pretty. Can anyone think of anything that might be the cause of it??I did not have any trouble before but did notice after my first WinStyle App that this was happening.I s there a possible conflict between the two?I have noticed a few of the features of the Winstyle theme are in the DesktopX theme, like the Winamp button.

Did you download the WinStyle as a Suite? If so try downloading the components separately. there is a bug with the latest release of WinStyles Where the Suite files are not downloading correctly. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Try changing to a different theme in DesktopX then delete the AttackerDX theme and redownload the AttackerDX, Also Delete The Attacker WinStyle Theme because it is no good.

Uninstall DX using Component Manager. Then before re-installing delete your Desktop directory in Explorer. That might cleaup any nasties.
