Went to the last day of the 'Alexander The Great' exhibition from 'The Hermitage' in Russia... this cameo is about 9 inches tall... amazing work... if it's coming to a city near you... and you enjoy your history, don't miss it... was a great presentation of Alexander's life and about 400 fabulous pieces to feast your eyes on...
This portrait of Ptolemy II and Arisinoe II celebrating their marriage (the Gonzaga Cameo) was once owned by Empress Josephine and Catherine The Great, to name just two....

have a little 3 year old visiting this weekend.. thought she might like this...
last time she had Plastic Fantastic and loved it...
I always find myself tailoring my desktop to the interests/personalities of particular guests coming... anyone else do that..?
