Logon Studio and Alpha settings on User Accounts

Monday, August 19, 2002 by Ladybug4753 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

hi
I am trying to create a logon but am not able to change the Alpha Normal or Mouse. When I change the number to higher or lower nothing changes with the logon accounts visability at logon. I would like them to be more visable.

in winxp if you have a limited account you can`t change the Alpha Normal or Mouse
you must have an administrator account

LadyBug,
Same problem here. I can't get the transparency values(Aplha) to do anything.

Have you had any luck not using an image for the User Frame Picture. I had to create a white rectangle the same size as the frame box rather than use the None option.

Let me know if you figure out the Alpha value problem.

Thanks,

did try just about every setting on the property window in the logon studio, with and with out images, frames etc, 0 for alpha normal to 255.

I would just like to have the account more visable without looking for them with a mouse

The alpha transparency value is controlled by several variables depending on what state the userlist is in (mouseover, hilighted, pressed, etc). You may have to go into the UIFILE.txt file in your skin's directory and edit it there. Search for "alpha:" in this file and try increasing some of the values (255 is maximum visibility).
