Time

Saturday, August 17, 2002 by WOM | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Why does the time on the skinbrowser skin always 3 hours ahead of the time on my task bar? I assume it has to do with the time zone that the site is in. I'am in USA centeral.

Well I figured out most of it. I was in the wrong time zone. Now it's only 1 hour different. My guess is that the site or server is on eastern time.

I really do not know how it was changed. But my daughter and grandson cannot play with my computer anymore. Got tired of all the spam, messed up files and whatnots. I thought I'd fixed everything. Guess I didn't. I guess i'll find more things wrong as time goes by.

What i do now is i make sure that i have a DX theme running. It throws the son off and my girlfriend doesn't want to take the time to figure the theme out

Now that is smart. I personally do not use DX themes. I don't like it. I just lock the machine so they can't do anything. It won't turn on. I guess that makes me a A hole but it's my money. Besides the daughter is 32. She can but her own machine.

Your just protecting your investment. That doesn't make you an a-hole

I know, but that is not what they think. This generation (mostly) thinks that whats yours is theirs. They don't want to earn or work for it. Now, now me, me. As hard as you try, they don't want to hear it. I guess I'am rambling.

Kids these days get everthing handed to them. When i was my sons age (9), i was stocking shelves and cleaning up my local deli after school.

I thought you were younger, thats why I said mostly. But you were born in the 60's. I don't really know if that makes a difference or not, but it seems that the further away from there the youth seem to be going down hill. The cash register went down a J BOX where I had lunch today. The girl asked me how mush I usually paid. She couldn't figure out how much I owed her. Good thing I'am honest. This is what I will be leaving the world to.

I guess I should have said that she is my Step-daughter, so I didn't raise her or things would have been different(I think).

Yeah same here with the son. I love him very much, but he is too much like his mother and there are things that i just don't understand about him, like for example- If i think that he has been in the house too long playing video games, i will tell him to go out side and play for a while. He gets mad and thinks he is on punishment because he has to go out side and play. Huh? When i was a kid Mom couldn't keep me in the house

Yea, my grandson is almost 12 and I have the same (identical) problem. That is punishment. They want their video, DVD, VHS or computer. Outside, whats that. When I was in the house I thought I was being punished. There's not much you can do. It's this generation. They all think the same way.

Well maybe i should let it go. The more i try to bring him up right, the more he resents me. Maybe if i just show by example...Oh well, never mind
