Cool stuff wit firemorks MX?

You know all this digital art which is lets face it, really cool. Well can *any* of this stuff be made with Fireworks MX? I would really love to learn, but obviously i can't afford Photoshop, but i do have fireworks MX, the only problem is that there are no decent tutorials for fireworks. It's really annoying, because I know my way around fireworks pretty well, and i feel comfortable using it for things like web design, but when it comes to digi art ect, do I just have to face that it's not good enough???
If not are there any low budget things that /can/ produce cool images and effects, and has a wealth of tutorials availavle (for free preferably).
I have also used PSP (who hasn't). Is this good for the stuff produced here.
On the note of cool stuff. Can I just thank Carlitus for his absolutly WONDERFUL Noia stuff, it's great, i love it!!!
