What about IncrediMail skins?

Saturday, August 10, 2002 by shoomkloom | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Does anybody know how to create a skin for IncrediMail?

I have seen some on their official site at www.incredimail.com but I havn't seen anybody else...

I kinda wondered that myself...I've looked around in the directories, but I haven't found anything which looks like skin files.

I use the Premium version myself and I haven't seen any skins either. FYI: I wrote to them and they are coming out with a version that has a backup utility in the premium version, which would help me out tremendously!

Well it's about time someone picks up the challenge!

Hopefully we'll see some great IM skins here soon

Another thought:
werewolf: I found some skin files in:
C:\Program Files\IncrediMail\Data\RunTime\Skin\4429BF50-317B-11d4-BC0F-0050DA276194

There were a lot of bimaps that form the parts of the skin...

I also found relevant looking files in:
C:\Program Files\IncrediMail\Data\Skin
like 'Blues.ims' etc... (presumably .ims is "IncrediMail Skin")

Hope that helps

ShoomKloom: thanks. There certainly are a lot of little bits and things aren't there I wonder if there are any size restrictions on these? Hmmm will have to play around a little when I've got some time.

Ah-ha! Got it! The IMS file is a RAR file. Open it up with Winrar!
It consists of some BMPs, some Flash files for the animations and one INI file.
Looks simple enough. I'd give it a try but I don't have the premium versoins and not interested into buying it.
