problem with message board envelope markers

for the last couple of days the envelope markers on new threads have stopped working.
they work as expected on all older threads i am keeping up with, but for new threads i read they stay as closed envelopes.
this is using IE6. anyone else getting this?

feline decides to blame IE on principle
however, out of interest why was the cookie file called wincustomize[2].txt ?
dont most people number things from 0 or 1?

Do you have two accounts here?
I wouldn't blame IE in this case. Did you check out the size of that cookie...

i did look at it, and it seemed quite big.
recycle bin says it was 12k
i only have one account here. to further amuse my old HD (i still have the files, win98) had a total of 5 cookies, sort of called (full names might excite the message board)
