I directed Jorge here...whether he shows up or not is anyone's guess.

I took my time, eh? Anyway, beats me, sorry to say - there is no obvious reason why Winstep would interfere with Dreamscapes, and nobody ever complained about this either.
My guess is that it's something system specific, perhaps even completely unrelated to Dreamscapes/Winstep?

I have been using both together on Win7 Ultimate/64 for a couple of years now and have never experienced any problems/conflicts. What OS are you using and do you have any codec packs installed?

No problems here running both at the same time on XP. If the video drivers are not reasonably current, start by updating those.

DJpuppycat, greetings and salutations to you in return.
In order to discuss your problem, the mavins will ask you to produce your system specs... OS, processor, RAM, and versions of the software involved. Might also be helpful if you note the graphics card, drivers and when you last updated them.
Might also help to know what temp you're processor is running at. If you're having a problem locating all that info, Speccy can get all that info for you (get it free here: https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download ). Another thought is the power supply... less likely.
You might also consider posting your question over at Winstep.net. Jorge is usually quite quick at answering... you could also send your question to Winstep Support - same Jorge will likely answer, but include the data I suggested for a quicker reply. I somehow doubt Deskscapes/Winstep conflict, though. I've emailed him so he might drop by.
