Well it is nice to start off 2013 with something for free. I've been using ASC 6 Free since it's been out and like it. Thanks for the info and link.
EDIT: Just did the upgrade on my i5 2320 @ 3.00GHz running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Since it is a fairly new computer it will be interesting to see what improvements I see.

What do they do with your email? Anyone have any idea... I'd rather not dl just to read the TOS...
Reply #4 Tuesday, January 1, 2013 11:57 AM
Doc, they associate your email to the key. Else anyone could use the key.

Since version 3, and now with ASC Pro with AV 2013 on the main rig, not once have I gotten any mail from them. Spam or otherwise They use your email addy to make sure it is single user.

Did it install any tool bars?
Does its optimization move files from their installation locations?
Not trying to give you a hard time... just asking so I know what it might do. The give away isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I don't see many problems listed in a search.
It also might mean Advanced System Care 7 will be launched in February... tried to find out about that, but nothing listed.

Installed it both on mine and my wife's computers. Thx for the tip.

No, no , and we've been using it for years, it does what it says, it don't do anything else.
All good questions. You can read up on it here:

Just found this: http://www.ghacks.net/2012/10/15/advanced-systemcare-6-free/
Apparently does have a tool bar.
It won't speed up your internet 300%...

Nope, no toolbars, (if there is an offer of one, you can decline it) no adware, no junk mail. iObit is a trustworthy software company.
BTW, If you already have Version 6 free installed, you just get the key and turn it into the Pro paid version. No need to reinstall it.
Version 6 hasn't been out all that long, so I imagine that it will be awhile until Version 7 comes out. I think this license is for one year, however.
At any rate, it isn't a giveawayoftheday sort of thing. You have until Jan 30 to decide if you want it, and the free version is available at http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcarepro.html

ok... installed it and activated the Pro thing...
Just one thing:
Always create a restore point before installing anything... learned that the hard way years ago.

iObit is a good outfit. Been using SmartDefrag for a long time and their malware removal app is good. I'll definitely consider the suite. Thanks for the post.

Just to update folks, my fairly new computer is running much faster. I don't have any IT experience, just a computer user but what ever the Pro version does works great. Everything loads quicker and yes even IE 9 is quicker.
Now I understand that every one of our computers are unique because of the hardware we have and the software/programs we run, but I would be somewhat amazed if you are not all ready running a similar program that running ASC Pro didn't improve your computers performance in someway.

I thought you meant a 3rd party toolbar, like offered by a lot of freeware, (like the Bing bar, or google toolbar). But at any rate...."The installer will install the IObit Toolbar on the system if you do not uncheck the options during installation."

iObit is VERY good stuff.

Philly has pointed out that it appears to be a 6 month key. Under "manage license" it says 181 days left.
Hopefully, after that, maybe there'll be a discount?

Also, you can try it for 6 months with this free offer, or you can buy a year for $14.77 for 3 PCs. (Normally 30 for one PC or 60 for 3 PCs.) This offer is available for the next 3 days.

I've been using ASC Pro for almost a year now... very good indeed, never had a problem with it.
As for the iObit toolbar, not that I use it/have it installed, it notifies you of updates, news and other offers, etc, then links you directly to the site if you want/need to download or read a new item. You can type in search references into the search bar if you so choose, but I have that built into my browser so have no need of it. It does not, however, install spyware, malware or hijack your browser.... I know because my sister uses it, as do my nieces and nephews, and I end up having to fix their PC's if/when anything goes wrong on them... and nothing iObit toolbar related has. So it is safe if you so chose to install it.

If you have been using the free version or never tried ASC, now is your chance to get a great program 100% free with no strings attached. IE8 has been fubar on my XP rig for months, even after reinstalling it several times. I let ASC 6 do it's thing this morning and this old box is humming right along now.
Tell 'em Wiz sent ya.
