disabling CursorXP

Hello everyone.
I'd like to know how to disable cursorXP without completely uninstalling it. I know I can use the cursorXP configure panel to go back to the simpler windows cursors, but I've noticed that the "program" for CXP still runs in the background.
Any way, if there is no option for disabling it, does it really use so many system resources while running in the background?

Also, you can disable/enable it on the fly with a keyboard shortcut. By default it is CTRL + SHIFT + C.

As for system resources, I would imagine it would depend on the package you're using. I'm sure something like Drops Plus use a lot more than something simple.
