Beacon for WindowBlinds by MikeB314

This skin is absolutely amazing! Tons of features and very clean execution, I’m just astounded at the completeness of it.

The downside of it is that it has just further delayed any new or updated skins by me just so that I can take the time to learn from it! I’m already behind schedule with “Assimilated” due to Service Pack 3’s decision to eat my mail server, now I got all this extra work to do! Thanks Mike!

Tons of features
I'm using the skin now.....love the active window indicator!
But would someone give me a rundown on a few of the "tons of features"............I feel like I missing out on all the goodies.

Koasati: Loads of features, many new to 3.4 - flashing task buttons, spinner controls, tree controls, grouped task menus, mouseover effects on checkboxes and radio buttons, an animated start button and auto installation of fonts. My personal favorite is the start panel item backgrounds - really gives a finished look to the skin.

I have it up and runnning also, one quick question though. In the comments section for this skin someone had mentioned something about the sounds. I was a little embarassed to ask, but are there "sounds" specific to this skin, if so, I have been unable to "tap" into them. Little help/guidance?

Thanx!

The title bar control buttons have sounds defined for them and work fine here and on my work machine. Perhaps you got a corrupt download.

1Renegade. This is probably a stupid question, but do you have sound turned off in your Windowblinds configuration? (Under Settings, checkbox at bottom).

I'm running it, and it is very nice I think it should be the default skin for WB 3.4 to show off it's features. Anyone agree?

Wonderful skin Mike!

elvee: I agree completely!!

I'm running win2K and tried to make my start panel look like the preview, but, even at a 32bit color depth, Mormegil's delicious icons looked terrible. Oh well I love this skin.

Thanx Merc, I understand now why I didn't see a lot of the new stuff.............I never see the start button, and all that goes with it.

Yes, I do have sounds enabled. Sorry for not getting back with you earlier. I have noticed that the "sounds" I have been hearing with the last couple of skins I have applied ahve been the same sounds......any clue?

Thanx for your help earlier, hope you can be of some more help as I troubleshoot this ..................
