After many hours of creating my first DesktopX theme, it's finalllllly Finished. What suiting a theme for video gamers than a theme devoted to Final Fantasy? That's exactly what I've done. Available for message board participants who want to demo it early is a screenshot and the theme itself -- so you want to get your copy of the theme before it's available for downlaod on wincustomize then go here..

Final Fantasy DesktopX Theme Info: This is a revolutionary Final Fantasy DesktopX theme that includes many, MANY features. One feature is an unique start menu that looks and feels like FF8's menu-driven navigation system with its own unique icons! Also, all icons and images are completely authentic, streight from the FF games including Mog, the FF hand, media player, FF8 status screen icons and more. Also, all the icons on the desktop are actual locations of specific places in FF7, with corresponding shortcuts to important programs/folders on your system--which is an refreshingly new way to browse your computer. The wallpaper is included, and you can place other DX icons inside the FF battle command bar to give the effect of controling your system as though you're in a battle! the links do work, but unfortunately wincustomize probably doesn't like forwarding to progs not on their site and adds garbage into the links' address. To get around this you have to right click the links and go Copy Shortcut, then paste it in your Address Bar and everything will be fine.

very cool! why is the trash exiled way out where the waves can knock it into the water to wash back up on the hard drive again?

the trash is located where the Knights Of The Round summon can be found, giving tremendous power to the players in the game. I wanted to re-create that effect in this theme while also putting it out of the way -just enough- not to interfere with any of the other important icons on your desktop. However, feel free to switch it with whatever you want. i'm always up for suggestions, as future versions will have the enhancements users demand.
