Graphic Tablets

Do any of the skiners here use graphic talets. If so what kind. Pros / cons, information appreciated

I use a Wacom Graphire at work (on a Mac, but must be the same on Windows). It have two devices: a mousse and a pen. The mousse device are good, but there's no reason to use it, the optical devices are better. The pen are very good, and their sensibility are excellent.
But this table have two problems: if you use this table any day, do you need to clean at least 2 times at week the surface of the table, because it comes dirty frequently. The other is the size of the surface: it's DINA6; this is a very small size for work, specially if you wish to paint!
For painting, the table are good. Do you need to get used, and somtimes are hard. If you need a higher table, their price are too much higher! I use this A6 table that is small, because the original Mac mices have only one button, and this is very uncomfortable.
I tested other marks of graphic tables, a part of Wacom, and the only good tables are Wacom again, and Genius. Don't purchase unknow marks, or graphic tables connected at serial/com ports, it must be at least USB for the flux of data (deep and pressure) necessary to work correctly. Note: i never used a graphic table to make any skin/wallpaper

I have a Wacom Graphire. I tried it when I heard my friend had one - I'd always liked the look of them - and after about a day or so I just had to get my own. It was just that cool. I ended up writing my own VB software to use it. (which eventually paid for the tablet several times over, but that's another story 
)
Using it graphicially, it's not great for skinning. And it won't help you magically become a great artist. But it is nice for a few things. The tablet+pen can work well as a general UI tool (needs a mousewheel though - one reason I reprogrammed it, so I could get middle-click on the eraser). And hey, it looks cool!

Thank you one and all. Perhaps i need to re-invent my periferals i just cant seem to my old ms serial mouse. carlitus glad to see your still around and at least hitting the messageboard. saw your last few posts,any i think your stuff is quite good
