utility info...

I'm wanting to display information like Hard drives (total size, size remaining), System resources, memory, network activity, etc - all on my desktop. Can this be done? If so what program or utility would i need to get in order to make this happen. If there are many different ways to accomplish this, give me some links or info on the ones you prefer.
