Shutdown screen skin

Monday, July 15, 2002 by hbb hbb | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hiyas

CAn I skin the windows shutdown screen.
Bassically I don't want it to look like its windows XP when the comptuer is shutting down. BAssically I'd like it to just be a nice design that might say "Shutting down.." but it won't have all the otther stuff it says now.

My other question is, I use /NOGUIBOOT in XP so it boots straigh into the desktop. IT still however flashs "Welcome.." up before going to the desktop. Can I change that image too??

Thanks!

Which shutdown screen?
the screen with the HIBERNATE, RESTART, SHUT DOWN buttons? or the

Logging off... screen??

you can apply new logons to change the logon screen but you cannot change the SHUTDOWN screen (with the grayscaled desktop...)
its a BITMAP in the windows system files (i think explorer or user32...dunno whihc one)
you can tweak the system files but better dont do it!
