yeah, seriously man.. to who ever read this.. i do wish that desktopx v1.1 is free, im using shareware (limited functions) but nevertheless it wont stop my creativity to post some good stuff over desktopx.net (i.e themez!)shout out to all the manz in da houze.. if you'd smeeellll what the desktopx is cookin'

What would it be like if AOL owned Stardock?
- Windowblinds would revert to the standard Windows GUI every half hour, requiring you to reboot and reload WB.
- ObjectBar would refuse to work at random times, claiming "too many users are logged on right now. Try again later."
- OD demos sent out on free CDs bundled with major computer magazines. WC subsequently flooded with AOL users asking what to do when they hear the "you've got mail" alert.

We have huge stands with those free AOL-cd's here in every big computer/electronic store. I often use them as trash-bin for the packaging-material when I buy something. Oh, did I mention I don't like AOL ?

Speaking of AOL stacks, I upgraded ICQ today. In that upgrade, it placed a "Free AOL and Internet Something" not only on my desktop, but in my Links folder, in my Favorites folder, in my Programs folder, and I'm sure I'll find another shortcut eventually.

my problem is that I do not like Desktop X, I do not like anything on my desktop, everything I use is from "quick launch". I like a wallpaper free of clutter. That is the beauty of OD is that we can use whatever we want...I use Windowblinds, sometimes Weblinds, Winstyles, Iconpackager, I use the Utilities such as the "Clean Sweep" type program to clean out cache, temp files etc. Outside of OD I use Logon Studio and Cursor XP as well as beatnik....I also have a program called BootXP which can change the XP startup screen.

Firestorm, don't forget mass bundling. Every OD program would include web phone, greeting cards, personal pictures, birthday announcements, calendar, address book, file sharing, instant messaging, etc.

oh HOW COME someone from wincustomize tell me that my macxp is rejected?? oh btw, how to be A FULL TIME dekstopx designer?? i mean to make the dekstopx thing?.. and do we get recognize? and btw is my privacy is protected.. since i fee that im involved in desktopx.. any guidelines should be foolloow??.. anyway i do love the idea that dekstopx can be merged with winamp... imagine desktop x + winamp?? 1. can some make OD more less MEMORY CONSUMING and P4 processeor friendly..? I got P4 1.6GHzA proc, 192 SDRAM, epox i845 4b2a mainboard, tnt2 m64 pro (i promise ill kill this card soon), sb sound blaster live...
2. can u make OD more user friendly? from what can i see OD are for those ppl who can code thing but what about some old dudes who dont know code? like my papa??
3. can OD please be smaller + faster and versatile like winamp?? make it more moduleable...make it more stable and stuff like that and not so bloated codes??? anyone understand me here? thank you! i love OD long live OD!!! out loud to da man FROGBOY and GARGOYLE (if anyone with that name exist, heh!)

Can i RIP some movie wallpapers somewhere and some stuff like bars ..buttoonss etc on OD website and make a supa dupa themes??? can ?? i know things should be original but im just asking.. i think OD should be less pc animated graphic but more movie things... like MIB 2 or something... just an idea//

uploading something is a pain man.. and i dont like to wait for approval.. just throw away the approval things and make ppl happy... please... design something.. uploading something and wait for approval??? nooooo man nooo can u approve it after we upload it?? i know it's for secutiry reason and things like that but hey? that's the point man ppl just wanna have fun... come on dont tell me my teacher is one of the ppl in stardock..

It's not just for security, the site is a little more selective than "anything uploaded gets posted".
That said, as one participates more in the skinning community and WC, you can get to the point where your submissions post automatically.

WindozeXP: If you want to upload things and not wait for approval, why don't you upload to DeviantArt.com? They don't approve anything, and lots of people will comment on your work too.
With regard to your other question, you can NOT rip off movie pictures or buttons from websites to use in themes or wallpapers, you will be in breach of the authors copyright if you do, and that is something we take seriously here.
