Reset the veiw in "My Computer" to have things listed by DVD drives, Hard drives, removable media, etc. This is how it looks now and I know it's not normal. Usually everything is separated by lines and devices.

could just right click on an empty spot in the window then hover over "view" and select one of the options.

I tried what Wizard said, didn't do what I wanted so I did a system restore. That did the trick.

Wizard I did a right click and arrange by group. All it did was to show everthing by groups but looked exactly like the photo I posted.

See if changing the View for Computer to Tiles, then click on the Type column name helps. You may need to click on Type again until the arrow points up.
In My Computer click on the drop down arrow to the right of Views and click on Tiles, then click on the Typecolumn name until the arrow points up.
That should work for 7 and Vista. If not, do you have restore points from before you noticed the problem?
