Be a smooth talker and you'll get in in no time. First talk in over a year? What have you been doing then?

first question you ask: "What machine will you provide me with and do you happen to have a good internet connection?" hehe

well maybe you better get your foot in the door first and ask that later on as time goes by?

Very best wishes for the interview, Greyhaze. It seems like you're not alone when it comes to searching for that "nich" in life. With all the combined talent we have in the Community, wouldn't it be nice if we could be paid for our skills! (Ooops, have I opened Pandora's Box now?!)

Unfortunately I didn't get the job in the end. I guess that's what happens when you try for a Junior position with over 2 years of previous experience. I felt positively old sitting there amongst the other candidates, and I'm only just 25!

Let's just hope it isn't another year before I get my next interview...

By the way, if anyone knows of somewhere looking for an experienced Web Designer in the UK, let me know. It's a long shot, I know...

Hard luck, grayhaze . But don't let it put you off, keep plugging away .

I assume you're using the job sites on the Net, like Jobserve http://www.it.jobserve.com

I am an IT contractor and I am finding it increasingly hard to find contract work, so I might be looking for a permanent job soon

Whereabouts do you live? (Huddersfield, myself)

Sorry to here about your job interview. I went 16 months of being over or under qualified, but I was in my mid 40's. What a depressing time. Good thing the wife was working. Finally took a government job.
