Animation for WindowBlinds
Wednesday, June 26, 2002 by joetheblow | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Is there a way to have animated skins? I noticed some skins are animated (Area51, Champagne) but for the most part they are not.
I was wondering if WindowBlind supports anaimation like clicking a button and a door on the windowblind opens and allows you to see other buttons. WB STEEL comes close, if not there.
Are there any plans by other users to make animated skins (that don't use allot of memory)??
Any thoughts???

as for the animation I will try to keep it small. like 4 frames or something.

Check Docking Station. It has animation followed by showing buttons - just the sort of thing you want to do. With scripting you can do an awful lot . . .

The first is the standard repetition of a set of pre-defined frames.
The 2nd is used when you use an attribute in WB called 'link-to', which allows you to toggle defined buttons on and off from a master button. Using this method, fade-in effects can be applied to the process.
'What is the Matrix' by Mercury, and the Seti skins by DavidK use this method.
As for having a door open to reveal buttons, I'm afraid that one isn't possible in WB.
