Font Troubles

WB and DX....

Sunday, September 30, 2012 by RedneckDude | Discussion: Skinning

Guys, I am stumped.

I am making a DX theme for Ministry WB by neone6.

His blind uses Neogrey Medium.otf font.

I used it in the DX theme, embedded. It doesn't stick.

I installed the font on my system, still the DX theme will not use it.

If the WB is loaded, the DX theme shows the correct font.

So the DX theme will only show the correct font if the blind is running.

Any ideas?

GDI+ does not work with OpenType or PostScript fonts.

so if DesktopX is a GDI+ app (likely) that's your explanation.

i guess it works with WindowBlinds, because there might be something that converts the used to TrueType internally, either built by Stardock, or if WindowBlinds is a WPF app maybe some workaround by MS.

the best idea is to use a TrueType version of this font.
