Happy Birthday, Paul! Timed to come out shortly after midnight, your time.
..... Just a day early.
While your cat is recuperating, you and your lady are probably stuck at home... so while the celebration might have to wait, the well wishes don't.
May it be a day of happiness and fun... even if it's Monday, there... and a year of good health, joy and security.
Well, enough of the soft stuff. Here's your card, Godfath... errr.... Jafo. ![]()

On or about the 25th, eh? Well at least it's the right day today. No thanks to Doc... misleading everyone, like that.
Anyhow, no need to repeat what you can't/shouldn't enjoy today, just try to stay out of trouble... I mean, have a great day.
Oh, and if you hear a knock at the door this arvo, that'll be me.... come to confiscate that second chunk of birthday cake.
Doesn't matter if it goes on my waistline... I'm not the one hoping to take off in a eentsy weentsy Gooney Bird, am I?

Happy Birthday Mr.Martin!! Enjoy the flight on the old plane, sounds like fun. ![]()
I'll be looking out for you on the TV again as I always do when Phillip Island rolls around.
(maybe if you waved a red flag or something I may be able to spot you...... lol)
Have a great day my friend, would love to buy you a beer, maybe one day.......................................

Bryan....by the time we catch up you'll have to buy me several beers.....working on a thirst....![]()
It's 26th now..... my present seems to be the new skill-set of how-to-inject-antibiotics-into-a-cat while watch the bank balance dwindle some more...
She's got her stitches out....still has a bit of a temp..... and I'm wondering whether poking myself in the thumb [cleverly] with a cat's antibiotics is gonna make me purr...
Note to self....jab the cat...not your thumb....![]()

Oh dear!......... I'm reminded of that "how to give a cat a pill" thing that was circulating a few years ago. lol
Hope she's better soon Paul, if only for YOUR sake! ![]()

This the one, Bry?
1. Pick up the cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from under chair. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take a new pill from foil wrap. Cradle cat in left arm holding
rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill
to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse in from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between the knees. Holding front and rear paws, ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold cat's head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make a note to buy a new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines from hearth and set aside for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with it's head just visible from beneath spouse's armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force cat's mouth open with pencil and blow down straw.
9. Check label to make sure that pill is not harmful to humans. Drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10.Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with spoon, flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for last tetanus shot. Throw t-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Call the fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining room table. Find heavy duty pruning gloves from garage. Force cat's mouth open with small trowel. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour 1/2 pint of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Get spouse to drive you to emergency room. Sit quietly while doctor stitches finger and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Stop by furniture store on the way home to order a new table.
15. Arrange for vet to make house call.

Happy belated birthday....

and they're really good at spitting them out later when you thought they were down.... my vet nurse suggested a pill popper which really made life easier.. link..
and for those that were quartered and too small to hold in the pill popper... just crushed and mixed with liverwurst... that's a hit...
I had to do 6 weeks of Vitamin B needles 3 times a week... once I got over my squeamishness... was kinda preferrable to pills...they don't seem to notice...
hey.. didn't you say at some stage Terry was a nurse...
..how come you got stuck with the needles...
no pun intended...
that'll be a lotta fun... did the DC-3 day trip to the Mudgee Wineries for a family birthday and everyone loved it... have fun... ![]()

sydneysiders....
Terry's a Speech Pathologist .... they don't 'do' needles...![]()
The AB Tilly's on at the moment is 2 injections per day....so the score now stands [in my career of needlework] at cat 6 .... me 2.
....but I'm getting better at it....
Yes, she doesn't notice.....and fortunately I'm not squeamish......[not a lot of room for that in Motor Racing].... but I think Terry's 'interest' in needles starts and ends with Mark...up at Seymour....Razorback Tattoos...![]()

i once put the needle right through the scruff of the neck and it splurted out the other side...

Since I'd 'killed' my S/H laptop...the few-years-old Acer Travelmate....which now exists in a box in a few thousand [well...dozen] pieces...with the power-handling circuits apparently fried on the MoBo....
....and it was my birthday....
...I've replaced it with a nice new ASUS R500A i7....squeaky clean and brand new [first lappy I've ever had new] ....just going through the throes of making the recovery disks and stuff...![]()
