Need help with Dashboard

I downloaded the Fender skin from page 17 of the Dashboard skins, but I'm not seeing the images in the background of dashboard or WIS Bar. I have downloaded others and they work ok, but this one is not. Any help out there?

Btw depending on how many skins the ppl here at wincusto have their pages set to display, the skin will not appear on page 17 for everyone, that is why I tried to search it, the db section is pretty full now.

Thanks Doreen. Yes it's called "Fender". It's in the Category: Music and the auther is Sharpaq. When I click his name, I get a message back that the account info for that user is not available. I might just be out of luck on this one, but if I thought I would ask for help!

Just double-checked, and this skin seems to work fine for me. Did you try redownloading and reinstallling? You might've missed a file or two. Also make sure you're running Dasboard 1.2+, otherwise I don't think the skin will work.

she contacted me via e-mail and I was thinking the skin itself had a problem too Glen, but I also checked it out on my unit and it's fine so I think its:
1. Latest DB build is V1.2d (so she needs to go into the "about" tab in the Dashboard options and see that the version she has is a newer build.
2. Make sure that all the content files of the Fender folder are copied over to the "Skins" folder in the Dashboard directory on your pocket pc via active sync make sure you copy "All" the contents you may have not synced over a few image files.
3. Try to go into the skins option and load an old skin and then go back into the skins option and "Reload" the Fender skin and see if that reloads it fresh. (don't know why but sometimes I lose a few images in a load and need to reload to get it to set)

Actually, latest Dashboard is v1.4.001d (Chris released v1.5.001a to registered users, but it is technically an Alpha). You need to update, Dor!

really? well I don't use DB much anymore cuz I stay w/ a static Today screen image someone made for me.
(I have 3 today screen plug in's that I use alot so I never stray from my original Today screen)
but I keep DB on my unit just to see the newer skins that catch my eye for a quick min or so.

At this point, I can't even imagine not using Dashboard. Before that, and Program Menu, I was very frustrated with my PPC!

just recently they have begun making Today screen plug in's that stream live content and animation and pop up stickies for quick notes w/ alarms and stuff that makes easy access to all kindsa diff & useful things so DB is having competition other then the skinnability now...

They must all be for PPC2002. That, or I just haven't noticed them. I've seen the animated plug-ins, and they seem cute but useless to me. And streaming live content doesn't do any good unless you have an always-on Internet connection (unless that's not what you mean by "live content").
I have yet to see anything that could replace the functionality of Dashboard on my sytem.

yes I'm on PPC2002, and all "these" plug in's are fairly new...
the ONLY thing I personally need now is some form of a Pocket PC'anywhere program so I can connect to my job and remotely drive those machines from my ppc and I'm good to go!!!!
then and only then, I'll be free and can taste freedom from wall jacks!

and when they finally release this, I can toss my AirCard300
(I had to cancel the wireless for a few months cuz that gets rediculous but as time goes on and this comes out hopefully it will spread out and charges will drop)

at any rate, shoot off a quick e-mail to the person who created the Dashboard skin, Hopefully they will trouble shoot it for you.
